Public Holliday New Range Release
YES!! We WILL be open on Sunday the 2nd of October even though there is a public holiday the very next day! We will be featuring The NEW showbag designed by the lovely Tania Ridgwell and 2 all new ranges to Paper Flourish – Authentique AND Glitz it Designs.  The showbags will be officially available as of Wednesday. Road Works
The Road Works on Nelson road will recommence next week – however the detour (unlike last time) will be significantly shorter so as to cut down on the inconvenience to local and through traffic. An official map of said detour is attached for your convenience.

Bio: Trisha has been an avid scrapbooker for nearly 13 years and has taught for more than 10 years. She has been married to her best friend, Drew for nearly 18 years and has 2 wild, but devilishly handsome boys, Logan and Carter who are more often than not, the source of her inspiration. She resides in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where the long, cold winters provide plenty of scrapbooking time for her.

Ingvild Bolme –
 
Bio: Ingvild comes from Stavanger on the beautiful west coast of Norway, and she is mum to a little 4 year old girl named Iselina. Ingvild discovered scrapbooking in 2006, and she has been totally addicted to this amazing craft since 2007. She was the Winner of Norwegian Championship in Scrapbooking 2007, and has been a member of Prima’s design team since summer 2008, which is an huge honour for her since Prima has always been her “heart brand”. Ingvild loves the opportunity to design with Prima’s wide range of beautiful flowers and other products, which suit her rich/detailed and romantic style very well. She also loves to add many embellishments and details on her projects, and to try out different techniques.

Ingvild has had over 100 projects published, and now works as freelance designer for several magazines. Last year she went back to school to study graphic design to become a product designer, and at the same time she also again started to teach scrapbooking workshops.
In 2011 Ingvild's dream will come true when Prima will release her very first product line, and she will travel around to meet and teach other scrapbookers from around the world!

Ingvild feels it is a huge honour to be a part of Prima Road Tour , and she can’t wait to get started and to introduce her ergonomic tool line “Comfort-Craft Tools to you all, which will be a part of her teaching program. She hopes to see you in one of her workshops this year!

As a part of Peter's business, he has a current contract to distribute the waste management calendars for Playford, Salisbury and Gawler during Jan & Feb. Also during Feb & March, there will be the City of Mitcham available.
 
If you are interested in some work or 'extra work', it is relatively well paid and you can do it in the time that suits you.
It is a good way to get paid to exercise!
The calendars fit nicely into letter boxes and everybody gets one. However you do need to be able to walk or ride a bike for at least a couple of hours at a time :-)

EK Success & Martha Stewart

Some of you may have already heard the news that EK Success will no longer allow their products to be shipped out of America directly to retailers.

One of Australia’s largest wholesalers has now signed an exclusive agreement with EK Success to secure the rights to be the only Australian Company to be able to import these products. So unfortunately we will no longer be able to import the following products;

Martha Stewart (including her punches) L
K&Company
Cutterpede
Jolee’s & Sticko Stickers
Disney
Inkadinkadoo

So what does this mean for all of us?

The good news is, we can still source these products; however we do have to buy them from our Australian Wholesaler, which means the price will likely rise.

Paper Flourish will continue to pass on any saving we can as we will still buy in bulk so we can give you the best possible price!

All of our pending orders and backorders with our US supplier have been cancelled and will remain unfilled.

Every store in Australia will be in the same situation so we encourage you all to get your punches, trimmers and paper pads while you can.

We cannot start ordering Martha Stewart from the Australian Wholesaler until Jan so there may be a delay in what we can get and when we can get it.  Any special customer orders currently in our system will have to be calculated at the new price at the time that they arrive (around mid January).

 On a happier note... December Do –crafts arrived today and the new Kaiser Ranges are on the shelves and good to go!

Well it’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas :). The tree is up and everything is looking very ‘Christmassy’ in all the shops. We received our very first handmade Christmas card a few days ago and we have very proudly put it on display.
We would like to pass on a BIG Thank You to everyone for telling all your friends and family about us and spreading the word that Paper Flourish has arrived!
We have lots of new toys to play with in store, including the ‘Big Shot Pro’; this is the grand daddy of all the die cut machines. The biggest benefit of this machine is, it cuts up to 12” x 12”. We have a number of dies to go with it and you are welcome to use this machine and all the dies when using the workshop space for $5.00 (when there are no lessons on).
We have also added 15 new Cricut Cartridges to our rental library. Rental is $10.00 for 1 week and if you like the cartridge enough to purchase one, we will take the $10.00 rental off the purchase price (that would make it only $45.00, wow)

Group Bookings By Request  
We have allowed spots in our lesson schedule for Group Bookings. There is a minimum requirement of 6 people for a group booking – maximum of 9, you name the time and the project and we will put something together for you :)

Yearly Scrap
Would you like to be part of our Yearly Scrap classes? This year myself and a lovely group our girls have been scrapping our year. Once a month we get together to scrap our previous month.
Take photographs of your monthly highlights and the everyday things you do for your double page layout.
We have had a lot of interest in this and I am trying to gauge how many people are potentially interested for next year’s lesson.

So what are the Monthly Crafters Clubs?
These clubs are designed to bring crafters together who share the same interests and passions.
We would love for you to bring along your projects and ideas to share with others. We will also be setting a challenge each month, which you can participate in if you wish and bring back your finished project to share the next month..... So, a bit like a book club for crafters!
We will also share with you tips and techniques each month, giving a demonstration or something similar. There will also be free samples of products as we receive them and there is no cost to join one of the crafters clubs, it’s absolutely free :). However you can stay and use the workshop and tools for $5.00 and make an afternoon of it if you like.

Cricut Cartridges new low price
Paper Flourish has just received confirmation on our good fortune to be included in a fantastic Cricut Cartridge deal, so we can compete with internet deals and other overseas retailers. YEAH!
So from now on all our Cricut Cartridges will be retailing at $55 each. This includes any new cartridges that are released over the next 12 months.

October Newsletter

Welcome to the very first official Paper Flourish Newsletter!

Paper Flourish has now been open for 4 weeks and things are going well. It's still very exciting and we all can't wait to go to work every day.

We have met so many new people over the last month, and we are all still trying to remember everyone's names, give us a few more weeks and we should have you all in the memory banks lol J

I would like to apologise if you receive this newsletter twice, over the next few months we will be merging the old Paper Craft 4 U mailing list with our new Paper Flourish one and I know some of you are on both at this stage.

The first lessons in October were very successful and we have made a few changes to the format for November, taking into account your feedback to make them even better!

Most classes will now be run during the evening as well as the day so no one misses out.

We have moved our weekly technique class to Wed and we will still be running Free Demonstrations twice a week (Sun & Mon @ 2:00pm)

We would love your feedback on what technique and demonstrations you would like us to run.... don't be shy, this is your paper crafts store J

Apart from me (Tracey) teaching the lessons we have a number of talented teachers here at Paper Flourish.

Let me introduce them

Allie, will be teaching our after school children's lessons and some card making classes

Mandii, will be teaching lots of lessons, including Big Shot, Card Making and Off the Page Projects

Janine, will be teaching scrapbooking once a month on a Sunday (yes this is the very talented Janine K from Scrapbook Station)

Helen, will be teaching our mature ladies card making lessons, monthly on a Friday

Peter, will be teaching the occasional Kaiser Card lesson with the 6x6" paper pads

MANII'S "GET THE SCRAP OUT OF HERE" SALE

Mandii: I don't think too many of you would disagree that I may just be, the luckiest girl in the world!  Tracey and Peter PAY ME to socialise and be as creative as I can be - to my hearts' content.

The difficulty with spending as many hours in the shop as I do is that I discover a myriad of fabulous products I simply MUST HAVE!!   It's an addiction - but I am not ashamed!!

Having purchased...well...pretty much EVERYTHING, I find myself struggling to fit it all into my studio. I fear that if I try to squeeze yet another floor to ceiling shelving unit in there - it may spit it back at me with potentially deadly consequences... to say nothing of the rest of my house!  Between you and me, I haven't seen my husband for a while now! I think he's somewhere in the back!  I hope so - that's where I've been throwing the Evian and bread crumbs......

Anyway - this is where you come in! In an effort to make way for the new, I need to clear EVERYTHING ELSE!  There are all sorts of goodies threatening to swallow my family here right now and they're all going on sale!! Tools and equipment, papers, embellishments, ribbons, blooms, chipboard, albums, off the page items, punches, machines, frightened and lonely family members... It's all got to go - and prices start from just 20 cents!!! (...so imagine how cheap the craft items will be!!)

Please...if you can find it in your heart to help me GET THE SCRAP OUT OF HERE...my design room will thank you...and so will my lightly crumbed and somewhat adequately hydrated husband...when I eventually find him again...

Why do we close on Saturday? Well for us (Tracey & Peter), this is our day for rest. A day for church and a day to spend time with our family, however don’t be alarmed, we are open on Sunday! We have had lots of feedback and Sunday shopping is great! Lots of people have sporting commitments on Saturdays and find the Sunday opening hours more convenient, as this is their crafting day.

Want to Craft in an inspirational environment with beautiful stock at your finger tips?

Paper Flourish welcomes you to come and use our lesson space when we don’t have classes scheduled (you just need to be packed up 30 mins prior to our next scheduled lesson)

We have room for up to 10 people at our table and we will have our new secure kids play area finished soon, where your kids can keep themselves amused J

There is free tea and coffee available and you are welcome to use our classroom tools, such as the Cuttlebug (including our folders and dies), Big shot and Cricut (you just need to bring your own mat if using the Cricut). All this for $5.00 per person.

‘Girl’s Night In’ Pizza & Craft Party
Saturday 23 October 7:45pm – 12:00am. This is going to be an entertaining night full of crafting fun.

All money raised from this event will be donated to help fight women’s cancer. My Mum is a breast cancer survivor and we want to show our support for this very important cause!

Mini Note or Gift Books

These gorgeous little books are made from recycled cereal boxes. We will be using the Zutter Binder to make them (choose your own papers). They make great gifts, everyone loves receiving a beautiful handmade gift.

We will be offering Mum & Babies lessons at Paper Flourish. Bring your baby along; we have limited spaces in these lessons so there is room for your pram. There is also a fully secure children’s play area for your older children too.

Our first lesson will be this handmade gate fold baby book. You can make it in either Pink or Blue.

Kasier 6x6 Pad Card Lesson (Christmas Cards)

In this lesson you will be able to make up to 6 cards. There will be 10-12 designs available to copy or you can choose to make your own design. You will be given, one 6"x 6" Kasier pad, 1 pack of 6 cards and rub-ons to keep all for $25. Other products such as ribbon, flowers, Ribbon and Bling will be available to use in the lesson. A combination of SA Scrapbooking businesses will be running this fair. All of the major SA Scrapbooking and Craft Stores have come together as a cooperative to put together this event. Its going to be a fantastic day with around 14 of the top SA Shops all coming together so you can purchase the latest products straight from CHA.
